The Fumbally Exchange concept shortlisted in the RIAI 3Twenty10 research competition.

05th October 2010

The concept of the Fumbally Exchange as a model for co-operative design hubs was submitted to the RIAI competition in September. The competition seeks to identify ideas by Architects which positively address the current challenges facing Ireland’s built environment. The Fumbally Exchange is seen as a model which makes use of empty office spaces, brings small businesses together in a creative environment and generates a positive knock-on effect for the local area. The submission was prepared by architects George Boyle, Ciarán Ferrie and Fionnuala O’Connor of Urban Architecture, all residents of the Fumbally Exchange. The idea was presented to the RIAI conference in Westport.
